Greetings, all, and welcome to Dorthonion's Athrabeth messageboard. Aikanáro
and I decided to start this board because of our love of Tolkien's
writings, but as today is this site's birthday, there's still a lot not
yet up and running, so please be patient - it will be coming slowly but
surely.
Again, welcome!
I'm Findaráto. I'm a 29 year old graduate student and I'm currently
living in Derry, Northern Ireland. Quite appropriately, I'm studying
Irish History and politics.
I've read all the books, including The Children of Húrin and The Histories of Middle Earth.
My favorite character in Tolkien's writings is Fëanáro, although I wish I could be more like Findaráto sometimes.
Come and tell us a bit about yourself and the reasons you like Tolkien. _________________ 'But

Hello
there. I'm a chemistry student from Norway who happen to enjoy
Tolkien's works because they are so excellent. The favourite being the
Simarillion. |

And another Norwegian Tolkien-lover ...
I'm trained as a teacher, but I'm currently working in a non-profit organization (and I'm well past 29).
Artaresto, that avatar of yours is just great! I love Jenny Dolfen's art (although my own avatar is made by Henning Janssen)
I read Lord of the Rings first, but the Silmarillion has really been
growing on me lately. And I find some sections of History of Middle
Earth very interesting. I don't intend to read all 12 volumes, though. _________________ Nai tengwestie nóle kalyuva kuilelya!

Glad to have you both.
When Aikanáro shows up, we'll try to get a FAQ started today, and get
the rest of the tweaking done, so just bear with us until then. _________________ 'But

And Aikanáro is here
I'm currently 21, live in London, and study accountancy. The
Silmarillion is probably my favorite book, but I love all of Tolkien's
works. I've read a few of the Histories, but not all. Oh, and I like Quenya.
Good to see you all here! |

Greetings, little brother.
I was wondering if you were planning to post at all. _________________ 'But

Hey, am I the only Original Character here?
Varna is created as the great-granddaughter of Angrod, so it's still a family reunion _________________ Nai tengwestie nóle kalyuva kuilelya!

LOL! We are all related here, aren't we?
I'm working on some FAQ's right now, and Aikanáro is working on some as
well, so hopefully this will be getting off its feet very shortly. _________________ 'But

There are not enough Sindar in here
So, I'm 32, from Brussels, and I'm a lawyer. I've read every single
book from Tolkien. My favourite period within the Legendarium is the
First Age, and my favourite place is Beleriand as a whole. But you
already know all of this _________________ "But

it) there is ever a rift, and in the walls of Doom a breach, until the
full-making, which ye call the End. So it shall be while I endure, a
secret voice that gainsayeth, and a light where darkness was decreed."

*waves hello to Eluchil*
Half-human, quarter-Maia Sindar, you mean?
Hate to play the nasty admin, Eluchil, but your avatar is the wrong size. Can you edit it to 100x100? It's a great avatar, just the wrong size.
EDIT: And Dior is also, incidentally, related to us. You're my first cousin twice removed. _________________ 'But

I know, I just read it in the FAQ section, I'll fix it in some minutes
